Currently I am playing on multiple sites. Which is the best way to make a backup of HM1 including all notes, settings and hand histories?

I am saving once in a while a windows backup of my complete computer on an external hard disk. The reason is that I have had problems with malware several times.
So could I use this backup to reinstall all HM1 informations after formatting my computer?

Or would it be better to make solely a backup of HM1, using its backup function?
Is there a way to copy the stars hands only?

You need a separate backup for HoldemManager.
You can use the Windows Backup, to backup your archive folder: C:/HMArchive (which contains your original handhistories).

To backup the database, read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup%26RestoreDatabase
Backing up your database will also automatically backup your notes.

But ideally you should also manually EXPORT the notes: options--> notes--> export notes.
