notes update

Hi,

I use PT on desktop and laptop.
When I export notes from one PC and import on another, it only updates the notes for playes who I don't have notes on yet. If I already have notes on someone, but I have extended the note on other pc it sais that 1 note was updated, but actually nothing happens.
I play quite a lot with the same players. It's very confusing having different notes from the same players.

Any suggestions how to make it work?

HoldemManager should update existing notes, so if you have:
aaaaaaaaaaaaa as a note on PC I and
bbbbbbbbbbbbb as a note (on the same player on PC II)
--->

importing PC I's note into PC II (or vice versa) should combine the two notes.

Which SQL version are you using??

still not working with the latest beta.

I am using SQL 8.3,
the about panel says: v 1.8.4 rev 7358

the doc says PostgreSQL 8.3.4

Where do you check whether the notes have changed?

I think there is a bug in the replayer not noticing the updated notes during the session. If you restart HM and check the notes - are they updated?

I check the replayer, and also I export the notes and find the player in the txt I am testing with.
I even check after rebooting my computer.
I just realised the problem is even worse.
I noticed that if I import notes the from PC1 to PC2, and restart HM, it imports exactly the same amount of notes, every time, unless it contains notes from a playes I dont have notes on PC2. If I have new notes from a player I have not had notes before, it looks like e.g. 27 new notes updated for the first time, and 26 after restarting HM, and reimporting from the same file.

However, new notes from players I havent had notes on have been imported and displayed correctly.

Please send us notes and hands for players you the this problems with. We need to reproduce this to see if its a bug or not. Please add a link to this thread and an explanation.
