View Full Version : Hands missing after optimization

I ran the "tune" and "optimization" in Database management.

Now when I go into reports and pull up players, about half of them have 0 hands. A player is still in the database, but is listed as having 0 hands.

If I look down a list of players in the Find window, about half say 0. The Find window says there are a total of about 3000 players, while the "Players" link over on the left says 42,599 players.

I went back into Database management and clicked the "revert" button on the Tune tab, but it did not help.

The filter is on "All hands"

It lists me as having 200k hands, which sounds about right. I pulled up a familiar regular who was listed as having 7k, which also sounds about right.

When I ran the full optimization, it said it was done rather soon, no more than probably 30-50 minutes, when all the warnings were suggesting it could take all night.

Version 1.11.04

Did you purge hands before running the optimization?

No. I've never purged and would have to figure out how.

update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm_1.11.05_Beta.exe

reimport all the original handhistories into a NEW database.
Do you have a fairly large database?

Don't use the optimization tool, but manually vacuum the database/edit postgresql. read:

When you say new database, do you mean reinstall sql, or just go into database manager in HM and create a new one there?

It's big enough, maybe 400k hands.

Thanks, and grrr.

400k hands is pretty small.

Options--> Database Management--> just create a new one--> reimport your archive folder. Should only take you 1-2 hours.

FYI, the problem remains after doing all the things you said.

HEM is fully functional, it just has all these players with no hands.
