I have an old laptop which I was using for poker. It runs XP. The network card gave out on it Saturday. Good excuse for me to purchase a new laptop.

I have played about 400k hands personally which are in my old HEM db. However, I can't access HEM since the old laptop doesn't connect to the interwebz anymore. I also purchased a ton of hands from ptr and want those as well.

HEM is installed and registered on the new laptop np. How do I get all the stuff off my old laptop efficiently ? I also need several HUDS from the old laptop.

Create a backup of your HM database on your old laptop via pgadmin and restore it on your new pc: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Backup & Restore Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database)

For configuration, hud etc. you can copy the config subfolder.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us)

This message is appearing when HEM starts and then the database control panel is opened.

Do I need to name the backup file something specific when creating it ?
Do I need to name the new database something specific when creating it ?

Edit : looks like everything turned out ok.... I just needed to set the new db as default.
