my HEM suddenly does not import pokerstars HHs anymore (as of today). Neither at 2/4 LHE or .02/.04 LHE

the HUD doesn't work either. I installed:

http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm_1.11.05_Beta.exe

and it doesn't seem to fix the problem

I should mention that I have checked the import paths and it seems like HEM finds the HHs, then does something, deletes them, and then they are not added to the database.

I also apologize for my spelling of the title of the thread, I couldn't find a way to fix it :(

can you attach your holdemmanager.conf file

also set the region & language DATE settings of your computer to M/d/yyyy

I reset the timezone, doesn't seem to make any difference.

here is the file:

- Please remove all Pokerstars handhistories entries from your auto-import settings.
- Create a new folder c:\stars.hands or something similar
- Configure your Stars client to write english handhistories into this folder.
- Add this folder to the HM auto-import settings.

Did you use a different date format?
It was set to yyyy/M/d before you changed it?

Xylocain

Yes, I think I reset it. I changed to english standards, and the date (in windows) conforms to M/D/YYYY. Before I changed it it was yyyy-mm-dd (swedish standard)

http://a.imageshack.us/img827/7021/srcshotii.png

Is this correct, or should I change somewhere else?

I should say that I have 200k hands in the database, 190 of which I imported two weeks ago when I reinstalled HEM after a re-format, and it was working fine the first two weeks.

I run windows with bootcamp on a mac if that helps.

PokerStars after one of their software updates (last week) suddenly started to read/write the local date formatting of your computer to the handhistories.

So those hands have the yyyy/M/d date format in the handhistories which HoldemManager can't import.

You can try to email PokerStars and request those hands again. I'm guessing if you request the, the hands they'll email you will have a normal date (M/d/yyyy)

I'm sorry but I'm just too dumb to figure out where I am supposed to change the date settings. Doing it in the control paner doesn't seem to change how PS writes the HHs.

Which Windows version do you have?

control panel--> region & language settings--> set the date formatting to M/d/yyyy and reboot.

Play a hand on Stars.. to see if it uses the M/d/yyyy format to new handhistories.

PS still spits out the date as yyyy/mm/dd

I emailed stars support and they told me to contact Holdem manager as its their problem.

I sent them another email just asking how I can change the format, but I suspect they will tell me the same thing.

Is it possible they changed the format for certain countries, rather than extracting "a suitable format" from of my computer?

Hello *****,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, the hand history date format cannot be changed.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Is your pokerstars client in english language?

If yes - please zip and mail the original handhistory files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to
support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

If no - please change it and try again.

the language is english. I emailed 1500 hhs to support a few days ago. Can I expect to hear back from them when they have looked at this issue?

I even tried to re-install PS without luck.

Noticed that pokerStars has stopped for me too :-(

Found out that reason was pokerstars client which was not able to write hand history until started as administrator.

Running PokerStars as administrator now - My regional setting for date is d.M.yyyy, and i'm not going to change that. M.d.yyyy just don't make any f#&"@ sense to me. Why not yy(M)d.yy

PokerStars makes hand histories in format yyyy.M.d which is second best and logical format for date.

My point is that it works...It does not matter PS likes yyyy.M.d HEM imports anf lists those hands just fine, when running as administrator.

Did you check all the things mentioned in this thread?
Are you using our latest beta? http://forums.holdemmanager.com/releases/35199-1-11-05-beta-11-a.html
Does it work if you create a new database for a test and import into this database?

If you cant figure it out please zip and mail the original handhistory files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.
