View Full Version : Simple popup stat question

I've looked briefly through the FAQ but couldn't find the answer to this :

when you click on a player popup, certain stats such as 3bet will have both a %, and a number in parentheses next to it, looking something like

3bet : 10% (10)

what exactly does the number in parentheses mean

is it that there were 10 opportunities to 3bet, and they did so 10% of the time, or they actually 3bet 10 times

(x) is how often (in absolute numbers) this has happened.

So when it states (1) or (2) be careful about how accurate the % is.
In hud options--> player preferences--> you can change the "min sample" to 5 for example, so it won't display the % stat if the situation has only occurred 1 to 4 times.

so then....what am I seeing here???

he's 3b 3 times in MP yet it shows 0%, twice on the button yet it's 0%???

if those were the absolute times hes 3bet it would mean he 3bet 14 times in 28 hands, and that's FAR from the case, iirc he only 3b once or twice

so what am I seeing here then?

He had the chance to 3bet in EP 2 times but he didn't do.
In MP 0 out of 3 times
In the BB he could 3bet 4 times and dit it once (=25%)

Overall he had 14 situations where he could 3bet but he only did it in 7% of this situations (~1 time)

(x) is how often (in absolute numbers) this has happened.

so this is wrong then?

I actually think having the absolute number of times that action has occurred would be far better than having total number of opportunities. Any way to change this?

Guess I was wrong.. sorry...

Showing absolute numbers is not currently an available feature.

After you get to a certain sample size, the parentheses go away. For some stats, I'd like to see the sample size no matter how big it is. Is there a way to do this?
