I have read all of the forums several times. I have tried everything.

I uninstalled HEM and reinstalled. Uninstalled postgres and reinstalled. Uninstalled .net and reinstalled. None worked.

UAC is turned off/down in Windows 7.

I need this to work and cant figure out anything that could be causing it. I get this error box/message the second I try and open the program.

Can you please help me?!?!

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent

If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely
download it from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)
