recently updated my HEM and it has been having some issues. first off, HEM will open and i will click auto import, it will say it has "less than 1 min left" to import hands and just never finishes the import. resulting in no hud/hand imports(obv)

-however, most of the time when i open it HEM will tell me " the following error occurred when tryin to open database:failed to est a connection to 127.0.01.
i then click ok and it prompts me to connect to postgresql. when i click connect it tells me a connection couldnt be made, and HEM will attempt to start the service.
I click yes, select defualt database, and start Holdem manager.
- the hud will now work with whatever tables i have open when i start up hem. buttt whenever i try to open a new table, HEM wont recognize it and i am left HUDless on those tables.. any advice?

update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm_1.11.05_Beta.exe


This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off.
If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely
