Hi, I have 500k Hs in my database. While playing a session my Hud stops working after a while. Sometimes freezes for a while. I have a new High Performance PC. I have never had these problems with HM1. What can I do? I also tried to purge some older hands but that did not fix the problem. What is the optimal size for a database? Im playing MTTs on 5 different networks at the same time. At the moment my database size is about 2500 MB. What other options do i have to optimize the performance of HM2?

Tx in advance

Hi,

I cant send the logfile. Because it is about 1,8 GB.
During play it grows unbelievable fast..

The growing log file is a bug, fixed in the 7599 buid, you can download here: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/351081-full-tilt-poker-early-beta-release-sng-tourney-players.html

If you still have issues with that build, email us the log file.

Hi.

even after installing the update I have the same problems. With or wothout playing on FT. The problem is still the same. After starting HM2 it takes 20 min until the HUD starts and i can use HM2. After a while the HUD freezes and HM2 stops working so I have to restart the program. I dont really understand this. I did use HM1 and my database contained more than 1.000.000 Hs and i did not have had any problem. Now while using HM2 with 500k Hs there are these problems. I hope u can fix this. In the meantime I switch back to HM1.

Please update to: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/7603_Hm2AutoUpdate.exe (7603)

If that does not resolve the issue, please close HM2 and delete the HoldemManager.config and HoldemManager.config.bak and any corrupted HoldemManager.config files from the folder located here -
Windows 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
You must show both hidden files and check unhide system files. See this:
How to show hidden files in Windows 7 (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial151.html)

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager\
For showing hidden files and unhide system files, see this:
Microsoft Corporation (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/win_fcab_show_file_extensions.mspx?mfr=true)

Then restart HM2.

If that does not resolve the issue, please reproduce the issue and send your log.txt file to hm2support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread. -

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager2 installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin"from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

Optimal database size: <10 million hands (=<45 GB)

i tried all of ur suggestions,
the mainproblem seems to be the growing logfile.
Even the 7599 build did niot fix this (in my case)

Im using Windows 7, Firewall/Antivirus is Norton
