Hi !
Got Error message whern opening HEM. Screen picture attached. Had problems before with version .03, now now running .04, but cud manually start Postgress and the HEM opened normally.

Running Vista
UAC off
Firewall zonealarm, exceptions Ok for Hem/postgress
Went through FAQs, no help

Now what ____

Your database is damaged. Please try a reindex via pgadmin->maintenance.
If that doesn't help please create a new one and reimport all your hands.

Tx for fast reply.

Reindexing doesnt work, so new database it is.

Ofcource didnt have back-up, so no way to import from old corrupted one ?

If not, how I delete old one and create new one ? Old one is huge, 44G so atleast I get my laptops hd back...

One thing more, Im still running 8.2. Shud I update to latest version of postgress ?

Fiar enough, found info how to delete DB with PQadmin.

However when trying to create new datebase HEM givets attached error. Was following Your instructions on FAQ how to create new DB.

Any ideas ?

Seems like your postgresql installatin is totally damaged.

Please run a chkdsk (google for it if you need help) to check your harddisk.

Try to uninstall Postgresql 8.2.
Download and install Postgresql 8.4 from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org).
Connect your HM to the new database server and create a new database.
Reimport all your old hands from the archive (default c:\hmarchive).

Do regular backups in the future.
