Hey,

I have a few questions about transitioning from PT3 to HEM.
I run windows 7.
I run PT3 with postgres 8.3 and have it set up running on 2 HDD for smoother performances.

I want to give HEM a try before i do it permanently.
So i would want my pt3 working still :-)

my questions:
can i run HEM without updating the postgresql?
can i run it on 2HDD or is it not necessary? (my PT3 is really slow on 1 hdd)
Can they run similtaniously? HEM & PT3
witch version do i have to download?
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/releases/30576-1-11-04-official-release.html or the one from the homepage.

I guess 1 is with the postgresql and the new releases are without.

I am gonna use HEM starting with a new empty database cause i am gonna start at a new pokerroom.
So hopefully it shouldnt be to much of a hassle.

Hope to get response soon.

Yes, you can use HM and PT3 simultaneously (but only one Hud and auto-import at a time).

You need to run the full HM installer and uncheck postgresql.
Use the same database connection data as for PT3, create a new database and import the hands from the PT3 processed folder.

when i need to connect to the postgres i push the connect button and get this error : the username and/or password was incorrect. Would you like to have HEM configure the database to accept this login and password?

Is this normal? do i have to click YES or NO ?

I guess i can only make a new db after i get connected . right?

it is ok now. pt3 uses a different password than hem.
