Hi there.

I'm trying to move one of my HEM licenses to a new PC. Problem is, I can't clear the old license. I can't log in to the online registration system page (Registration Home Page (http://www.holdemmanager.net/registration/)) - neither y forum uisername nor my registered email address will allow me to activate the password recovery system, and I have no emails from you with any other usernames.

This wouldn't be an issue if I could just enter the license code by hand, but when installing HEM on my new PC, I don't get an opportunity to do so - it just tells me that I don't have a license code, and all options lead to quitting the program. This is quite frustrating.

One explanation would be that the licenses are tied to my IP address, and as I already have two copies registered from this IP, that's why it won't let me go any further. If that's the case, then fair enough, but you need to make that clear in the installation dialogs. I am reluctant to de-license either of my existing stable, functioning installation of HEM, and would rather not do so until I'm sure it will improve matters. Under those circumstances, I'm not in a position to start taking leaps of faith on issues like this; the only way I can be sure is by clearing the license on my existing installation, then hoping that the next time I try and run HEM on my new machine, I get an opportunity to enter my license key. I'd rather not do that without confirmation that it will actually work.

Of course, if the licenses are not keyed to IP addresses, and my problem is something else entirely, then please disregard the above paragraph. Also, please advise on how to proceed.

Many thanks

On new computer: First of all, we need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: How to see hidden files in Windows (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html)
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/images/hidden.jpg
Problems Registering Holdem Manager:

1. Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)

2. Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

These are hidden SYSTEM files. (not just regular hidden files)

Also please try this:

1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
3. Open HM and register
4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

If you get a "no more activations allowed" error you WILL have to reset your license first.

Just create a new account at Registration Home Page (http://www.holdemmanager.net/registration) picking a NEW login/password
