View Full Version : BoDog Hand Grabber not seeing hero

Hi,
I downloaded the trial version of BoDog Hand Grabber a few days ago. It worked fine on the first day. I travelled to a new city on the next day, and now have the following problem.

Hand Grabber will 'grab' hands, but data for all players except for me is in the hand histories. For example, if my screen name were RiverDog, when I bet, instead of saying something like "RiverDog: bet $2.50", the hand history text says " : bet $2.50". There was a brief period where the HUD was working for all players except me, but now the HUD isn't working at all. The Table Manager finds the table, but has no information for number players, hands, etc. Holdem Manager is working for Pokerstars, so I'm assuming this is a Hand Grabber problem. I'm almost certain that I've played fewer than 1,000 hands, so the trial version of BoDog Hand Grabber should still be active. Any advise would be appreciated.

Now the hand histories does not record the names of any of the players.

I've downloaded the HEM update, as well a trying to reinstall BoDog and BoDog Hand Grabber, but can't get it to work. Sometimes Hand Grabber works, but will either omit all of the player names or just my name, sometimes. These hands are downloading to HEM, but of course, missing some names. And sometimes the HUD works ( but without my HUD information). And no, I have not checked disable hero HUD. I am running as an administrator. I have configured HEM to import from the correct Hand Grabber folder. I don't know what the problem is.

Which folders are you using:
-1 for the handgrabber to save the hands in
-2 as an archive folder?

can you also attach your holdemmanager.conf file

Hello, I seem to have the exact same problem as the TS.
I use the latest version of HM (1.12.01) and have windows 7 as OS.
Ive tried almost everything, run as administrator, adding as an exception to windows firewall, reinstalling, changing the import folder etc. It seems to be a Handgrabber problem as HM works fine on other sites but I hope you could still help me. Below Ive added an example hand history file.

Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest release 1.12.02 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe


Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).


Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD+

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK
