I am a mac user that went through all the motions just to get parallels/windows7 just to get HM up and running. Not to mention the clusterf**k of a mess I went through just to get postgresql running. & now this.

This is exactly why I hate windows....sorry to rant but if I dont vent Im liable to jump off a bridge.

Thanks for anyone that takes the time to respond.

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Run the full 93 mb HoldemManager instaler again--> and update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate_1.11.04_Internal.exe

Are you running SQL on the Virtual machine Windows or on the MAC?

-->

if above fails-->
please reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Run http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

worked like a charm, thanks! but after about the 1st 500 hands it started to lag really bad. I set aside 1gb of ram just to run it. My sole purpose on windows is to run HM. Not sure why its so slow. It started to really effect the action & I couldnt play my hands like I normally would.

Where is SQL installed... on the Windows.. or on the Mac...?
it's 10x faster.. if you install SQL on the Mac.. and make the virtual machine Windows connect to that.... but it's difficult to setup..
