I'm sure you must have been asked this before but I can'r find a thread.

Since Betfair has gone to Ongame my HUD isn't working, what do I do?

Thanks

You need to reconfigure the auto-import for an ongame client: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Ongame - BWIN Setup (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/13/Ongame+-+BWIN+Setup)

The first step says tell HM where your Ongaming HH are stored. I can't find them. They are not on my C drive like my other sites.

you need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: How to see hidden files in Windows (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html)
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/images/hidden.jpg

also update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate_1.11.04_Internal.exe

OK, I can now see hidden files. I've opened up a table and started playing but my HH files aare showing empty, it's as if they're not importing.

I've updated to the latest version of HM

* Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibilty.

* If that doesn't help, please check this and answer and post the questions FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: My HUD Doesn't Work (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/48/My+HUD+Doesn't+Work)

This is very frustrating. i know that you do this all the time but you are not wording this in a user friendly way. I'm not a computer wizz.

Please explain in a step by step guide.....and in english that an everyday person can understand.

Thankyou.

Which part of my post don't you understand?

Is it the administrator settings? Here is a link which explains it: Run a program in Vista with administrator rights in compatiblity mode (http://www.lancelhoff.com/how-to-run-a-program-in-vista-with-administrator-rights/)

To start with, what does the above mean? where do I find them to start them as an administrator?

Its explained in the next sentence:...run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibilty.

That's what I can't work out, I can't find it! When I look at all programmes, all I can find is a shortcut to HEM. HEM does run though.

We're both online, any chance of a teamviewer?

Thanks

You need to use your workplace to access the files on your harddisk.
Its not under Start -> programms.

I'm not sure wether your trying to make me look stupid or not.

I'm on Vista, please tell me where to find it (exactly which programme to select) or alternatively (and preferably)
Please ask another moderator to take over the thread to be a bit more helpful.
I've been without HEM for several weeks now and a simple two minute teamviewer would have sorted all this out.
Whenever I've had problems with HEM in the past, it's normally been sorted in a few minutes either by USEFUL threads or quick teamviewer session. Take your pick.

Read: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/)

And turn off User Account Control and reboot.

If it was already turned off: read: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11841-run-administrator.html

Ok, i give up. Please schedule a remote support session with our support. Email support@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so we can setup a Teamviewer (http://www.holdemmanager.net/teamviewer) session.

Last time i try to help anyone who's that rude

go to my computer

C:\ drive, It's the one that say C

then program files, yep the one that says .........

then rvgsoftware, you can guess this one, if you cannot guess you have to open this one, then goo buy an abacus

right click the files you have been told and select run as admin.

Once done, serioulsly think about retiring from poker for a week while you read.

John,

Thanks very much. With the exception the small penii, schoolboy comments, that was very simple, very easy and would have taken 2 seconds for a HEM support operator to have put in the thread.

If you read the thread from the beginning you will see that I wasn't at all rude, I was simply asking for a very simple guide on how to access the files they were saying. You will also see that the answers they were giving weren't remotely like the ones you gave and didn't give any sort of decent guidance to someone who doesn't have in depth knowledge in the subject.

Belittling someone who doesn't have the same knowledge as you in a certain subject isn't very clever (there really wasn't any need for that) but thanks anyway. We all have our specialties.
