Instascan super slow first time

The first time I run Instascan before any session it takes an extraordinarily long time to scan, which also sometimes slows down my computer so that it's hard to play. In any case is there any way to speed it up on it's first scan? After that everything is extremely quick, but anytime I don't use it for a few hours and scan, it takes a super long time on the first scan.

Which Operating System are you using?
And what sort of computer?
CPU, RAM, harddisk, etc.

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

What are you scanning exactly?
