View Full Version : Error in importing hands after update to 1.12.10b

I'm using 1.12.10a and I play on PokerStars. I tried to update my HM to 1.12.10b this morning but I've noticed some errors in importing hands.

I played a few sessions with 10b. When I checked my sessions tab after I knew for sure there's some hands missing. Just to be sure, I emailed stars support to send me hand histories for today's play. I remember I had some trouble updating before (few months ago) so I decided to make some new databases and use today's hands as a test to see what's going on.

I tried importing hands using the hand history file stars sent me as well as the raw hand histories stored in my HMArchive folder by using both 10a and 10b versions. The results are this:

1. With hand history file sent by PokerStars, there was no problem at all with both versions 10a and 10b. Both versions imported all the 347 hands I played today.
2. With 10b and importing hands from the HMArchive folder, HM reported 365 hands imported with 55 import errors. When I look at my sessions tab I only see 311 hands for today.
2. With 10a, HM reported 365 hands imported with 1 Import Error. In sessions tab it shows 346 hands. Still off by 1 hand but that's a lot more acceptable than off by dozens of hand in just one morning.

The reason I've always stuck with 10a is because it works and if i remember correctly, 10b didn't work when i tried updating a few months ago. Now I'm thinking of giving Zoom another shot and 10a does not work with Zoom and I would have to update to 10b if i wanna play Zoom.

I don't mind sharing the files in my HMArchive folder so you can take a look at it if you want.

Please update to the latest beta version for stars - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.12.11_10Sep2012.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com
