Epic Fail for Installation

Just bought HEM.

I have windows vista/ use mozillafirefox/ downloaded HEM, my computer froze halfway/ uninstalled tried again, it downloaded but i got that postgreblahblah blah that i read about is a usual problem in the forum.

SO I try to follow the directions but everytime it gets through the download and it's checking for viruses the whole thing freezes again. It auto installed that service pack so I feel like everything should be ready to go minus figuring out how to get around the firewall issue. I am retarded when it comes to computers and i don't even know what a firewall does or where to turn it off?

Basically if someone could give me some step by step directions because everything that i try to read and do is a fail for me and then my computer freezes because of it.

ty for responding netsrak, I was able to finally get it downloaded. What I dont know now is how to get my Hand histories imported into HEM. I honestly dont think I have any saved on my computer, or do they automatically go to some file on my desktop that a smarter person would know about?

If they werent on my computer could I get stars to email me a file with as many Hands as they could do and import them that way?

If you have enabled it in the lobby of PS then PS will have written your HH's to your HDD. The default location is this:

For XP:
"C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory\YourScreenName\"

For vista & in7:

You can email pokerstars for ALL your HH
If you have been playing tournaments you will also have to ask PS for the summaries that show your finish position. You might have to ask more than once for the summaries because PS support don't always know the dif between the two
