Update: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.12.11_12Oct2012.exe

On which site are you playing? What type of hands?

Im having the same problem. I'm on Merge(BCP) and all of a sudden 2 or 3 days ago HEM1 is only picking up a fraction of my hands played. This morning i played about 40 hands and HEM is only showing that i played 3. I tried the update you linked with no success. I've also tried manually loading the files and it says "Found 0 files to process...".

I purged and tried to reimport the hands with no luck. The importer is not finding the files for some reason. I tried to import the entire month of October and it found 2 files. If i choose import files and select the hand files individually it still still says "Found 0 files to process...". I have no clue what happened here :(

Ok i just created a new database and everything appears to have imported correctly. I am still curious what happened though. Any idea?

It sounds like your database was damaged/corrupted.

This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created).

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/418/Backup+%26+Restore

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:

Manual database backup/restore via pgadmin - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database

If you are unable to create a backup for any reason you will have to do it manually:

Export your Hand Histories
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

Export Your Notes
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback ' Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/tourney-data-view-01.jpg

Then can you create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).
