Talk to me about overall philosophy of color coding stats.

Is it better to use Red for Dangerous player, or Red for extreme variation from "normal", high or low?

Is it better to use Green for exploitable, or Green for almost no variation from "normal", high or low?

How many color ranges are necessary, useful, or optimal? 3? 5? At what point is the number of color ranges more confusing than helpful?

I am considering color coding with something like:
yellow = "normal", average, or desirable value
red = abnormal highly aggressive value, high stealing, high cbet, etc.
green = abnormally low aggression, low stealing, low cbet, etc.

For moderate numbers of stacked tables. Typically 10-12. Occasionally up to 20-22.

###
Normal range = grey because it helps the red or green TO 'SHOUT'

###
I do use yellow for the Abb. Name when someone < 20BB... I wouldn't notice this if I had a technicolor HUD With say yellow instead of grey for the normal range

###
red = tight or passive or unexploitable
grey = normal range
green = loose or aggressive or exploitable

I also use autorate icons so more than two non-grey colours would be overkill

###
eg in my 6max cash these are red:
vpip < 12
pfr < 9
af < 1.5
3b < 3.5
fold to 3b > 75
(so the colours of the last two are reversed)

Thank you.

That makes sense to me.

Just make sure whatever you chose that you are consistent.

Oh, and please forgive our tame Technicolor sprite (Loki)... he was bottle fed as a baby and has been seeking attention ever since.
