I read a lot about this subject on this forum and others, but no matter what I try I cannot fix it.
2 week ago this error occurred for the first time. I let a guy who fixes a lot of these problems have a look at it. So we set up a teamviewer meeting and been busy for 5 hours, no luck :eek:
Then I did a system recovery which totally messed up my PC. Last week I got my PC back with a clean installation of Windows Vista. First thing I did was install Hold em manager, so before installing anti-virus etcetera, by using the Combo Installer. Imported the hand histories I have on my laptop. Everything worked fine :cool:
Ok, no poker during the weekdays. Come back this weekend to play my hands. SAME STORY (@*)#&)#*()^&*#)@(@( :mad:
The following problem occur:

Tried the following things:
start -> Programma's -> PostgreSQL -> Stop service --> Result: service isn't started
start -> Programma's -> PostgreSQL -> Start service --> Result: black DOS screen with nothing in it
Remove postmaster.pid --> doesn't help
Services -> PostgreSQL Database -> Right mouse Start
Properties. -> Log On. Choise Local System Account.
This is what I have tried today!!!
2 weeks ago the guy that helped me tried to re-install PostgreSQL, different versions, administrator rights; different account, removing avast/ ad-aware/ spybot, disable UAC etcetera.
If I press CTRL-ALT-DEL for taskmanager I don't see postgres.exe
If I enable to display processes of all users I see 5 times postgres.exe. Behind there is standing "System" by Username? Is this normal?
I really would like to request a team viewer session with an expert who can figure this out. Thanks in advance.
