View Full Version : Imported too many hands from PT3...can't vaccum

Yesterday I was trying to get my Cake hands from PT3 -> HEM and accidentally transferred my whole DB which had 3million ++ hands from other sites.

I purged about 2.5 million of them but my HEM is still running extremely slow. I play on Cake so I don't use a HUD -- the problem is that it takes like a minute to refresh my stats or look at sessions/graph tabs.

I tried to vaccuum it according to the FAQ by going into pgadminIII but I don't have the default 'holdemmanager' database as an option.

Any ideas?
JR

You need to use the name of your holdemmanager database instead of our example "holdemmanager". To find this out look into the HM database management (under options). Its the default database.

Ok, I found the name of the DB and did the analyze/full vacuum but it only took like 2 seconds? Is that normal? DB is still kinda slow :S

Thats not normal - or is it an nearly empty database.

FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Check Total Amount of Hands in Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/115/Check+Total+Amount+of+Hands+in+Database+)

Please try a reindex of the database via pgamin->maintenance.
Do you get any errors?
