Hi!
Is there any way how to restore something (database, hands, notes, preferences...) without "backuping" directly in HM? For example just copying some files?! My pc has died and I had to reinstall system..but fortunately also restored (almost) all old files..
Thanks for help!!

Hook up your old hard drive on the new computer using a device like this:
Newegg.com - Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5” & 3.5” USB 2.0 & eSATA (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153071)
You can then pull off all old data. See this for moving your information from the database:
Please see this FAQ to move your DB to another drive.
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1172/Move+Database+to+Another+Hard+Drive+or+Partition
Or, just import the c:\hmarchive and/or c:\hm2archive.
You can also copy the config folder from the old folder:
7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager
See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

See the location here for win 7:

See the location here for win xp:

and put it in the new one. On the old drive, c will = the new drive letter.

The only thing is the hud settings for hm1 are in "c:/program files (x86)/rvg software/holdem manager/config".
