At least for SNGs, the date in the HHs in formatted differently now.

It was
Full Tilt Poker Game #22389948094: $55 + $5 Sit & Go (Turbo) (172925605), Table 1 - 15/30 - No Limit Hold'em - 14:04:45 ET - 2010/07/17

now it is
Full Tilt Poker Game #22481823629: $55 + $5 Sit & Go (Turbo) (173617255), Table 1 - 15/30 - No Limit Hold'em - 07:12 ET - Wed, July 21, 2010

HEM doesn't import these hands.

Yes - FTP Rush hands seem to import into HM under the Import tab but are not displayed under sessions. Please provide fix asap.

Cash hands importing, but HEM seems not to do anything about it. Table Manager does not work either

Suggestion: To save time - support@holdemmanager.net might appreciate having a few 100 samples in their in-box when they get to work I guess

Maybe it is not just the date format ?

The person at Full Tilt responsible for this should be beaten with a stick.

The person at Full Tilt responsible for this should be beaten with a stick.Even if nobody has reported reasons for the changes at FTP to be made, I believe this is being changed towards the possibility to allow to change, in the future, the clock's time on the software.

It's just a guess... I'll be waiting for a quick HM update thou.

That's almost certainly not the reason for this change. That would imply planning, and caring for your customers. They lack both of those.

Most probably, some junior programmer changed the date format from HH:MM:SS YYYY:MM:dd or whatever to something similar but different, because he wanted to change something somewhere in the program where the date is displayed, probably somewhere around tournament lobbies or registration dialogs, and than he changed that string which was also used for hand histories, which he didn't know or didn't care about it.

That's the most likely reason for this change.

To play Devil's Advocate here, we have to realize that FT, Stars, and anybody else -- while tolerant of tracking software like HEM -- are not really interested in keeping their HHs or anything else compatible. Short of pissing off perhaps 10% (probably less) of their customer base that uses software like HEM, they have virtually ZERO incentive to do so. They have a business to run, and for whatever reasons they make decisions on software updates that make their lives easier, more efficient, responsive to customer or internal requests (maybe they had a number of requests for day of week to appear in their HHs), etc. As someone who works in a corporate software development shop, I can attest to the frequency of oddball requests from internal sources, like executives, that decide they want a report to look different or whatever.

The burden will always be on tracking software to stay on top of these site changes, and not the other way around. You can't really expect it any other way. They're not beholden to us, we're beholden to them. ;)

Now that said, there are development methods that software vendors like HEM can use to help make this less painful. Hopefully they're doing them already. Things like parameterized parsing templates, regular expressions, using OOP methodologies to abstract parsing into discrete objects that don't require core code changes, etc. Using these approaches rather than hard-coding the parsing of dates, for instance, make it much easier to be responsive to these types of changes, allowing them to get updates out quickly. I have no doubt HEM will have this addressed shortly.

They change their software, and they do change it often, almost always for the better.

But, those are hand histories, log files that are rarely read by hand, and if you consider volume, probably 99.9% or more, read by software.

So, yes, somebody could have requested to have weekdays in the history files. But, how likely is that? Did he also request to have seconds removed? If indeed that is the case, no matter if he is a boss or a customer, I have a message for that person: you are an idiot.

FTP changed their date format. We have coded a fix and will be doing internal testing. If all goes well it should be released later this afternoon.

Check the HM Releases forum for news, as I will be gone most of the afternoon and early evening.

I've installed 1.11.03, deleted all todays hands after FTP update and purged mine, and moved files from archiving to another place and reimported them into HEM. Now instead of 168 incomplete hands I have 24 incpomplete hands.

How to make the last 24 hands import correctly?

Why are you blaming FT, they don't support HM. HM supports FT.

How do I reimport the hands I played today after installing the update. After purging can I import them again?

brbrbr

This change today was just plain stupid.

Even if they needed to add the day name in a hand history file (they didn't), this is the way to do it: you start with

14:04:45 ET - 2010/07/17

then you change it to this:

14:04:45 ET - 2010/07/17 - Wed

And they way they did it, you now actually have less information in the hh file than before, the seconds are missing. Now if you look at the tournament hands in the Results-Data View, they are not in the correct order now, the hands in the same minute are upside down.

Please update to 1.11.03 without internal in the version in the title.

For importing old hands: you find them in the HM archive folder (default c:\hmarchive). Copy them to a different folder and import them again via import file or import from folder

Are you using 1.11.03?

Move the files from the auto-import folder to a different folder and try to import them via import file or import from folder.

What exactly is your problem?
