HI there.
I was looking in the FAQ and the Forum but couldnt finde the solution to that problem.

I cant install Postresql. I allways get this error.
"An error occured executing the Microsoft VC++ runtime installer."

Using XP with sp3
AVG Antivirus and TuneupUtilties are runnig, cant turn them off.
Have to unistall them to test but i dont think this is the problem.

Thx

You can solve the vc++ error by downloading and installing "vc++ 2005"
(just google: download vc++ 2005) from the Microsoft website

Try the version that NEVER FAILS... SQL 8.2.17-->
PostgreSQL: File Browser (http://www.postgresql.org/ftp/binary/v8.2.17/win32/)

Is your secondary logon service running? It's a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.
