Under the options menu. What does that do?

And "Database MGMT"?

Also, are there videos or anything that can help me learn how to best use HM for Cash games?

Thanks in advance for any input.

1] Nothing - it just takes you to this FAQ (which is worth a read) :
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Vacuum Analyze Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/88/Vacuum+Analyze+Database+)
I believe that the Idea was that 'Options' > 'Vacuum Analyse Database' would allow the user to get straight into maintaining their DB which is a separate prog to HM (it's called postgreSQL). Here's an extract from the above FAQ:
"...frees up disk space and allows your DB to run faster. Quick Tip: Vacuuming your DB is like getting your car's engine serviced"

###
2] 'Options' > 'Database Management...' > 'Database Control Panel' pop up > click 'Connect' button > will allow you to do the following things:
** Create a new DB
** change the default DB
** Export Hand Histories from a DB
** Fix the indexes in a DB if it starts to give error messages

3] This is a BIG question & someone else will maybe give better answers. Basically it's like learning to fight or swim or throw a ball... It's not really a video thing IMO. In the case of poker & HM I think it's better to learn through playing & making mistakes, practise, asking questions, reading & talking to other poker players. Also I would say you should start with 4 to 6 stats & keep it simple

a) There's plenty of very basic video post-game analysis stuff here, but little or no stuff on how to use in play [but post-game analysis is vital of course]:
FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Holdem Manager Video Library (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/374/Holdem+Manager+Video+Library)

b) There are a few poker sites with free vids (usually poor quality) where you are shown a little of how to best use a poker tracker prog to improve your read on villains etc

c) paid for ebooks & the vids that come with them do the same slightly better - I like Vosti for cash. it's simple :)

d) look in 'HM' > 'help' > 'articles (8)'. These aren't vids, but I think they are quite good

e) If you've got enough hands under your belt I recommend the Leakbuster addon to HM. It will tune you into your leaks. Understand your poker self.
