Hi,
I've a problem on the istallation of postgreSQL. During the istallation my computer crash everytime and I can't complete.
I'm running on Vista SP2 without antivirus and firewall (I've turn off before installation starts).
I've also tried postgre 8.3 and 8.4, with with the 8.4 version the computer not crash but the installation after several minutes is also running without positive results.
Somebody said that could be a Register problem. Could be? How could I clean the register from postgreSQL codes?

What type of crash do you mean?
Any error message or a screenshot of the crash?

try uninstalling it with revo uninstaller Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems (http://www.revouninstaller.com/) and if the problem persists Please try this version PostgreSQL: Choose a Mirror (http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp/binary/v8.2.17/win32/postgresql-8.2.17-1.zip)

If that doesnt solve it try doing a restore to a previous configuration and see if that fixes the issue, if not id say the PostgreSQL forum is probably your best bet because its extremely rare for it to crash installing so its like something corrupt on your PC or something advanced so someone on those forums might be able to help
