Try to reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dot...eanup_tool.zip

2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe

If that doesn't work contact Microsoft

before doing anything else check out uninstall microsoft .net with google & look at the msdn & ms links regarding firewalls, antivirus & OS - it will pay you to get it right first time because this .NET stuff is easy to screw up with shortcuts

What Operating System and Service Pack are you using, right clicking on the computer icon and choosing properties should tell you

As microsoft release big updates for an Operating System they give them names, service pack 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc

Right click on My Computer, choose properties and then it should say what Operating System you have

If you don't understand these two links then use google to search for more basic information:

Windows Vista Service Pack - How To Find What Service Pack Level Your Windows Vista PC Is Running (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/ht/srvpackvista.htm)
Vista Service Pack - Determine What Vista Service Pack (SP) You Currently Have (http://windows.about.com/od/windowsosversions/ss/Determine_Vista_Version_Service_Pack.htm)

Ok then youll need to update until you have service pack 2 which is the latest versions, then see if you can install 3.5 then, if not what type of error do you get when installing it?

You are pretty sure ? You should know from the links I gave you...

###
Microsoft stopped supporting Vista without a service packs over two months ago on April 13th
I guess you have not updated your OS at all since you got your PC ? However it is very easy to find out where you stand & to fix it

####
Go here & follow the instructions & it will tell you that you are on Vista & it will also tell you about which SP (if any) you have:
Which version of the Windows operating system am I running? (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/which-version-of-the-windows-operating-system-am-i-running)

####
Then go here & look at the left hand side of the page & sort out your service packs:
Service Pack Center - Microsoft Windows (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/service-packs)
PLEASE NOTE... TO INSTALL WINDOWS SP2 YOU MUST FIRST HAVE SP1 INSTALLED & YOU WILL FIND THAT ON THE PAGE FURTHER DOWN:

###
My advice though is to turn on automatic updates & let Windows sort out your updates because you will be way behind on a lot of important little patches that may prevent an install of the service packs unless you do everything in the right order - let Windows do it for you:

TRY HERE if you don't want to turn on updates - you will have to have IE5 or better though
Microsoft Windows Update (http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en)

If that link doesn't work then google 'update microsoft' (without the quote marks) & choose the top link that appears

You will need to go back to the link & do a few updates & then go back to it & let microsoft check if you need more updates because the installs have to be in sequence - go back to the link until microsoft is happy

OK ?

Version 6.0 build 6000? Is that what you needed?

_Loki_
06-18-2010, 10:36 PM
If it said 6001 that would mean you had service pack 1 installed (it's called SP1 for short)

You definitely don't have any service packs installed
So follow the instructions I gave for getting updates - I recommend doing it the way I've highlighted in red

You need to update in stages

Kris Capitals
06-18-2010, 10:38 PM
yeah im doing that now

_Loki_
06-18-2010, 10:44 PM
Be warned it might take a long time & some updates will usually fail to install
Just keep going back & trying again & again - eventually you'll be sorted

Please TRY & give more information...

explain what you mean what method are you using to update ? what does the microsoft update service site say ?...

your replies are nearly always useless & your last answer makes no sense
if it will not let you install SP1 then why do you mention SP2 ?
You don't even think about downloading SP2 until SP1 is installed

walk me through the process you have used & what microsoft updates is saying
