changes to HUD are not saving

hi,

I am making some changes to player peferences in the HUD (changing abbrevation i.e.) and they are not saving, even when clicking for a second to other stat and coming back to the one with changes. Clicking Apply does not work. I am using 1.11.02 and Vista.
