View Full Version : EV in PokerStars hyper-turbos broken by update

At some point during the last month you changed the EV calculation for pokerstars hyper turbos back to using the standard 6 max payout structure. They instead use a 2.5BI to first, 2.5 to second, 1 to third structure.

Holdem manager used to do this correctly. Please change it back.

Also, is there a way to find out when I updated holdem manager? I know when the change occurred in my results, but I do not know what version I was using then.

EDIT: 1.10 beta 1 has the payouts for EV and replayer calculations correct

Please zip and mail the hands and summaries for some sample tourneys with link to this thread and explanation to support@holdemmanager.net.

We will check it and fix it.

There is no fix in the Pre-release version. Why not? All you have to do is change some numbers that used to be right to begin with until someone put effort into breaking the hyper-turbo EV functionality.

Sorry but there are lots of other things to fix which might have higher priority.
But at the moment one of the developers is working on Stars tourney fixes (there are a ton of them as Stars is very creative in changing things).

But Stars did not change anything. 1.10.06a and before still work fine, but they have other issues and are lacking features that the newer version has.

Stars changed a lot in other tourney types which we had to fix. Seems like this fixes broke the hyper-turbo things.

This still has not been addressed. Can't you just use the working payouts from 1.10.06a?

So, after one year, this thing is still not working?

HM is not calculating ICM all in EV in hyper turbos on Stars. In the replayer, the ICM button is disabled.

We're aware of this bug.

And it has worked before (Q4 2010 + Q1 2011).

The problem is PokerStars is changing the buyin amounts practically weekly for their games. And HoldemManager detects a game based on the buyin amount, like

$10+1=regular
$11+1=turbo
$14+1=hyper

With their recent update, they're using new buyin/rake amounts, so HoldemManager requires another update.
