I have Vista x64 and downloaded the current version of HEM to try it out. I already have PostGres 8.3 installed.

The moment I run it from the desktop icon, I then click "Try" and HEM tells me it found some poker sites and to check the auto import folders. I click "OK" from there...

Microsoft Windows

DBControlPanel has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

HEM terminates and goes no further.

The FAQ indicates that if I have Vista I have to turn UAC off, which I refuse to do.

Is there a way around this?

No currently UAC is a real pain and although it has the potential to be a helpful program to stop malicious attacks etc its not very friendly to alot of programs so hopefully they will improve it, in the meantime youll need to disable it for it to work with HM.

Personally ive been running XP for years and have very little virsu/malicious attacks simply because im careful and use antiviruses/firewalls and dont download keygens etc

Similarly someone running UAC might have alot more problems than me if they dont know what their doing they might not know its someone attacking their system and just let it through but for me the fact that they dont have the option to give exceptions to programs like PostgreSQL and HM to name but a few and also that it dosent have the ability to remeber previous programs i already allowed makes it a real pain and not very useful in my personal opinion but i can understand peoples reluctance to remove it.
