I have a license for holdem manager on my main PC. Questions:

1) With my current license, am I allowed to install the software on additional computers? If so, how many? If this is allowed, do I simply use the same license key?

2) Is it possible to share the same holdem manager database between several computers on the same network? If so, how do I go about setting this up?

Thank you

eh, i have the license key, and presumably it should be a matter of changing some config parameters to hook up the network access???? can't believe it can be hard, but thanks anyway.

Yes you can install on up to 2 PCs, See this FAQ FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Registration Benefits (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/26/Registration+Benefits) on how to reset your code

Thanks for your response.

One question wrt to using my database server's HEM database from my laptop while travelling..........presumably this would work in terms of displaying existing database data onto your laptop's HUD, but is it also possible to somehow have the hand histories you generate on your laptop loaded into the main server's database in real time?

How would you go about doing that?

Thanks

You can copy the handhistory files from the laptops archive (default c:\hmarchive) to your other computer and import them via import file or import from folder.

Hi there,

I have finally got around to start setting up the networking.

I have a database server set-up and another machine on the same network that now has Holdem Manager on it, but that I would like to point to the postgres database on the database server.

I have gone through the steps in FAQ: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Run PostgreSQL Over a Network (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/90/Run+PostgreSQL+Over+a+Network+)

The only thing outstanding is opening the firewall. I am running Norton 360 rather than Windows Firewall.

Do you know how I perform the same tasks, i.e. create an exception within Norton 360. I cannot seem to find it.

Thank you very much!
Tore

I can only link you to our general firewall FAQ: FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Software Security Problems (Firewall) (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/339/Software+Security+Problems+%28Firewall%29)
