So naturally it's just the failed to connect to DB, can't start service, started service .. try again.
Now I know why this is happening, i deleted the user 'postgres' from the accounts page in control panel.
I didn't know it was pertinent to the program working as it's just a DB program, why would it need it's own account in Windows to run? It should just run under a username within the account active on Windows right?
Anyway, i'm running Vista x64 and have all updates installed.
I use ESET for AV and a basic firewall I have control over and allowed Postgre full access.
