Hello.
2 fast questions here.

1. - I am a plo player and do not play holdem at all. - so do i need both hold'em manager and omaha manager ..... or is it enough just to buy Omaha manager.

2. Are there any issues using windows wista home edition and Omaha Manager - I belive i could search the forums myself ...but since most in here is for no limit holdem players i try give it a go with this topic. - I am quite sure i will seach the forum 100 times when i start using the program. But if any known problems is out there in installation with vista I would love to know it now.

Thank you very much - hope you win a ton of money.

Hi Gnisteren,

Quick answers to your quick questions :)

1. Yes, you can just buy Omaha Manager.

2. No problems that i am aware of with Vista, it's what I run, though not Home.

Just download the trial and try it out if you haven't already.
There are many guides and videos to get you started.

Answering Ur 2nd question: I'm using Vista Home and trying to install HoldEm-Manager for 2 days now - in vain, because of any errors with PostgreS(hit!)QL. Perhaps Ur more lucky with OmahaManager...:mad:

If the links that aka provided do not help, try this:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe

for your advices - my pgsql- probs are solved  - indeed, I deleted the 'net user postgresql' before, but some remaining crap (resulting from a former installation using pgsql) in the 'ApplicationData'- Directory prevented a new installation. Solved the Probs by manual deleting the carcasses - and by installing pgsql 8.3 instead of 8.4.

But now I got a new problem - I think I better should start a new thread...
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/30266-confusion-about-hm-installation.html#post145525 , regarding the first question of the threadstarter - which in no way can be answered by me - not yet...
