small boxes in Notes

These small boxes are really annoying. Would you please think about changing this in the next updates?

This is a general problem with the character code of the notes text and your database coding. We can't display special characters either.
We are working on a solution but i think your boxes come from a wrong database coding. You should create a new UTF database and reimport all your hands and notes.

Meh, that was a lot of work and didn't work at all. There's still a box every time I am pressing 'enter' in the notefield.

I just noticed, that this problem does not occur in every note I write. If I copy paste a handhistory in there, the boxes apear at the end of every line and everytime I press enter. If I haven't post a HH in that box ever, everythings fine. Meh, any ideas?

edit: okay, thats not totally true. I just opened an empty box, wrote some lines in it, and there are boxes also.

I guess you are using a different character set on your computer. Nothing we can do about it at the moment.
We are planning to add better character support to the note editor but this is something we will not release in the nearer future.

I don't really understand what that should mean and I don't see the context with that. Why should I be having a different character set than everybody else? I'm from germany too if other countries might be the reasons.

I have no such problems so i think its something in the way you write notes.
Can you give me more details? Are you using copy and paste from an editor or sth. like that?

And can you please check in the properties of your database (via pgadmiIII) which coding you have configured?

If its ok for you i can move this thread to the german forum and we continue in german?

And yes, I copy and paste the HH's from the HM replayer or the 'last pot' feature at the table into my notes.

Ok, ich werde mir das nachher mal ansehen. Ich vermute das liegt daran dass in den Handhistories die du kopierst Sonderzeichen drin stehen.

Ich kann jetzt nachvollziehen was du meinst. Es liegt nicht am Zeichensatz wie ich ursprünglich dachte.
Ich werde mal einen Bug Report dafür anlegen, bin mir aber nicht sicher ob wir da was machen können.

Ich sehe nicht wirklich Sonderzeichen in den HH's.

Mit Sonderzeichen meine ich z.B. die Zeilenumbrüche. In der Handhistory Datei wird da anscheinend was anderes als im Tooltip verwendet.
