I am getting really naffed off with this bloody programme now. I think i've had it working for all of a day since I got it so please can somebody help me (Teamviewer session preferred!!!!)

My HEM1 has now started to come up with the error message of "Unable to read data from the transport connection: existing connection forcibly closed by the remote host"

Now I understand this is a firewall issue, could somebody from support or a HEM guru please contact me with a solution?

Many thanks

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.

If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely

Try
1: Turn on the secondary Logon. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.

-2 Check your hosts file:
It should look like: http://holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8182

-3 If SQL 8.4 (when you reinstall it won't work, install SQL 8.2 : http://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/binary/v8.2.22/win32/postgresql-8.2.22-1.zip
