I tried updating to the latest patch but that did not alleviate the problem, and it also occurs when I open HEM but this picture was pulled from the database login page.

please give HoldemManager Administrator rights:

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator". if the option is grayed out then this is because youve UAC disabled, in which case enable UAC Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way on Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/) and reboot the PC then do step 3 and then you can disable UAC again if you like.
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe and import.exe

What OS are you using, what version of PostgreSQL are you using?

I'm actually using XP for this version and I don't see an option for running as Admin. I also am using postgreSQL 8.3, I believe.

As a side note I just got done fighting off a pretty nasty trojan.. I don't know if that would effect any of this though?

Is PostgreSQL properly connected, if you go to PostgreSQL > pgadmin III and enter your username and password does it connect?

I opened pgadmin III, right clicked on my database and then attempted to put in my password. I got this message

If it is not fixed after a reboot this usually is a firewall problem.

Please check this:

Thank you. For some reason zone alarm reset it's exception list w/o informing me. The problems seems to be cleared up.
