View Full Version : HUD and Import Issues on Stars

I upgraded to 1.10.06a on Friday, and since then I've been having some issues with my HUD and with importing. I'll start with the HUD:

In every set, I have 1-2 tables where my HUD shows up, but no stats show up. I just get the dashes for every stat and 0 for the number of hands, even if I have previous hands on anyone at that table.

Also in every set, I have 1-2 games that don't get imported. These are not necessarily the same games that my HUD doesn't show up for, as in my last set my HUD wasn't working on 2 tables while HEM only missed importing 1 game. When I look in my folder for imported hands, I see the proper number of hand histories, but when viewing my data in HEM, it's always missing a game or 2. I can obviously just manually import the game(s) it misses, but that would get tedious, and this also does not solve my HUD problem.

Any help is appreciated.

(Running Vista in case that matters)

can you create a new database FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Create / Delete Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database) and then does the problem still exist

please give HoldemManager Administrator rights:

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator". if the option is grayed out then this is because youve UAC disabled, in which case enable UAC Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way on Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/) and reboot the PC then do step 3 and then you can disable UAC again if you like.
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe and hmimport.exe and also do it for pokerstars.exe in the stars folder

My HUD now works fine, but now no games are getting imported.

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't realize creating a new database meant I had to re-enter my screenname. It all seems to work fine now.

Ok, now a day later, I cannot open HEM at all. When I try, I get several boxes that come up: (these are in the order they come up in):

"The Database Structure has been updated in this new version and your DB will be updated after clicking OK"

"An error occurred while updating your DB (ImportedFiles): ERROR: XX001: invalid page header in block 7 of relation "pg_attribute_relid_attnum_index" Please close down any program accessing the database and relaunch Holdem Manager"

"An error occurred while retrieving the imported file list: ERROR: XX001: invalid page header in block 7 of relation "pg_attribute_relid_attnum_index""

"An error occurred while retrieving the imported file list: ERROR: XX001: invalid page header in block 8 of relation "pg_attribute_relid_attnum_index""

Those are DB errors. You could try to fix those indexes (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/86/Fix+Indexes), but I would suggest you reinstall postgresql completely.

*Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator

net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe
