I am looking for better clearification on the HUD stats. For example, in the FAQ, 3bet is defined as..... "Big Blind is bet 1, raise is bet 2 and the next bet is a 3-Bet". I understand what a 3 bet is but I want to know what the stat is telling me.

Is the percentage representing total hands (folded + played) and the percent that he has 3bet, or just played hands and the percent that he 3bet his played hands?

Also, is there somewhere on this forum or other place that better defines each of these stats?

Thanks for all your help!

It's 3bet percentage of the TOTAL hands.

So at a full ring table anything around 3-5% is normal,
6max 4-9%, headsup ?I don't know?.
If a player 3bets 10+% it's too high.

So how do you know 10% is too high?
How do you know any stat is too high?
Lets simplify things and say you get a:
premium hand 3% of the time (AA, KK, QQ, AK, JJ, TT, AQ)
playable hand 10% of the time (above + low pairs + suited connectors)
weird hand 20% (above + one-gappers + suited Ace + two picture cards)
30% above + TRASH

VPIP: So based on the numbers above, it's easy to see why a player who plays 30% of his hands is TOO loose, and a player that only plays 5% of his hands is really tight. And there is a direct relation between his VPIP and the strength of his hand.

PFR: if a player pre flop raises 14% of his hands, he's also raising really silly hands.

3bet: if a player only 3bets 3% he's only 3betting premium hands!
If he 3bets 10% he MUST also do it with low pairs and/or suited-connectors, so you don't have to respect his 3bet.
