I was unable to install postgres on win7, similar to the comments on the below thread:
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/27983-cant-install-postgres-windows-7-a.html

I followed forum instructions and installed it successfully as per morny's instruction. I ran postgres as administrator. Thank you for that post.

I attempted to manually vacuum today, but cannot find the pgadmin file, having followed the instructions on manual vacuum which appear from within HEM.

Another thing: assuming that someone can provide me with a link to the PGADMIN 3 file, will I require a password to use it?

Please advise.

Many thanks in advance.

Download and install it from pgAdmin: PostgreSQL administration and management tools (http://www.pgadmin.org)

You need the password for the postgres user which you can see in the HM database management.

Well I went there and downloaded pgadmin.

When I opened pgadmin, there was no server listed. Please advise.

Hi

That was the version I downloaded from the pgadmin site.

I opened it up and no servers were listed.

You need to add the server manually, i think its in the file menu or via right mouse key in the server window.
Use the database settings from Holdemmanager.

Thank you netsrak.

Please advise which items are entered in which location. I am not very good with this kind of thing (see attachment).

No worries, I have just done it with success !

For other newbies, here is what I did.

For name: anything e.g. HEM
For host: 127.0.0.1
For password: postgrespass

Perfect !!

Netsrak: if you are ever in the UK, the beers are on me !!

The only town that matters: London.

I live in the suburbs and the pubs here are really nice.
