Hey everyone,

Having trouble with HEM - I bought it about 3 months ago, used it, and then uninstalled it for a little while. Now coming back to poker i'd like to use it again.

At first when I re-installed it, it constantly said 'this is the trial version' and failed to connect when i tried to register/activate it.

However, after uninstalling numerous times and reinstalling the updates it's stopped saying that and now it opens. But the problem is that when i try to open the application it literally opens briefly for 2/3 seconds and closes itself.

Any ideas on some solutions?

Thanks.

Please give us some more details about your system.
Which HM version?

Is postgresql running?

Any error message?

Firewall/Other tuning or security software?

Try toggling between having "Run this program as an Administrator" ticked and unticked, youll need to do it for all the exe's see below

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator". if the option is grayed out then this is because youve UAC disabled, in which case enable UAC Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way on Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/) and reboot the PC then do step 3 and then you can disable UAC again if you like.
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe and hmimport.exe

if that fails

I'm not even sure if my computer is recognising that HEM is there because when i press prnt scrn with HEM loading up and then paste the image into paint the HEM bit is invisible as if it wasn't there. Think i'm going to get everything on my computer wiped of and then i'll reinstall it and try once again.
