My 'players' tab shows 43,000 on it but when I press the tab I can't see any names there!

That tab is for running filtered searches on your entire DB according to the filters/criteria and report selected on the left side-bar. The default report is for players from this month with 1k hands. Broaden the search filters.

how do I attach a screen shot?

I've saved it as a file on my computer.

Ah, figured it out I think.

I have version 1.09 and not 1.10 - could this be a problem?

The version could be a problem.
Did you press "Run report" to see the data?
Are you sure you have data for the specified filters in your database?

Yes, I did press 'run report' and a little box came up saying "no currently playing players found. Please make sure you have auto import running"

I tried it again and I got the players that were playing at my table - so I guess it's working. Does it store these results? or is it only useful for currently playing players?

You have checked "Only Show Players Playing now" on the left side.

If you uncheck this it will work without playing at tables.

You have selected to show only players with 1000 or more common hands.
