suddenly,my HM is not working!!

Hi,it`s been around 3 months that i`m not playing poker,so,i haven`t run my HM for 3 months too.Well,today i decided to play again,but when i was opening my HM,while HM is "initializing database" an error arose.then the database control panel to connect to postgreSQL and i can`t connect succesfully.
i`m from Spain and i moved to Brazil those 3 months ago(i`m still in Brazil),is it anything about this? what can i do?

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands using these instructions

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator

net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe

hey,i´m trying to follow the instructions but i can´t solve the problem.i´m a donk with computers,could we arrange a teamviewer session or so?
please,i just want to play some good poker,i need it!!

Hi, maybe we can do a teamviewer session to troubleshoot the problem, please email me with a suitable time to do the session and also the timezone your in.

please uninstall any 3rd party firewalls previous to the session and switch to windows firewall. You can reinstall it after the session is done if you need to
