Hi everyone,

I started out by purchasing small stakes HEM, eventually I progressed to higher stakes so I needed to upgrade my software. I did this on my main pc, which I use 98% of the time, and received a new license key, and upgraded just fine.

The problem is with my second pc, where I also had a HEM installation, but one which I use very rarely. I've tried uninstalling the software, and this is after a reboot and a fresh install: When I start the software, I get to a "activate your software" screen, where i can press the activate online button, which gets me to the choose PC#1/#2 screen. I've chosen PC#2 as before, after which the sfotware says activating online, please wait, and then "success. Select OK to continue".

However, at no point have I been asked to insert my license key, so it is still using the old small stakes license key. Now when I press OK to go to the next screen, i get a warning "A valid license could not be obtained", with a "show details" button and next steps button, which displays my old small stakes license. This is obviously incorrect, as I would need to insert my new license key, otherwise it will not work on PC2. I've attached below the information from "show details".

Im guessing I have to go somewhere in registry to create/modify/change the license key to the new one?

I know this problem can be solved by doing a format C, but i wouldn't want to format my pc just because HEM has problems on letting me change my license key to the upgraded version, that is working just fine on my pc #1.

First of all, we need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: How to see hidden files in Windows (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html)
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/images/hidden.jpg
Problems Registering Holdem Manager:

Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

please try this:

1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
3. Open HM and register
4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

I have also had small stakes HEm version, now upgraded to pro version, but I cant put my new code in HM. I tried to clear my registration code, but it has written to me it failed and that I have to delete manualy one file in my HM folder, but that file holdemmanager.exe.ldat is not there. I have tried to look also to recommended folder from above post

(XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

But the folder was empty and I have enabled showing hidden and system files.

How can I upgrade my Holdem Manager? I tried to cut and paste holdemmanager.exe out from HM folder and back and I was asked to reactivate the software again and I reactivated it succcesfully, but It asked me not for any licence code, so my software stayed Small stakes version

Thanks for the answer, but there is still the same problem. After installing that beta and creating LicDebug.txt I am only asked to reactivate my licence through internet, not to input the licence code. So I just click activate my licence and my old small stakes licence is activated.

I can enable you to look on this directly on my computer through skype or so, you can tell me what to do and you will see my desktop.

You can email me your skype or post private message
