hm error code?

i keep getting a error code every time i try to start the program. it reads..AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE LOADING THE PREFS FILES; DATA AT ROOT LEVEL IS INVALID LINE 1. POSITION 1...any idea what the problem might be? i have small stakes holdem version and it is updated to the most current update. i wanted to upgrade to omaha version also but i need to get hm back up first. thanks for any suggestions.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using? Make sure windows is fully updated.

Try recreating the prefs file.

1) Close HM and the Table Manager. Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2) Export any custom HUD configs and Copy/Paste your \Config folder before deleting any files as a backup.
3) Delete your existing HUD Prefs files, so HM will rebuild them to default. If you have any custom HUD's export them first and/or copy the \config folder to back them up.
4) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml.
5) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.
