Hi guys)
I'm moving to the new PC. I want to install the latest postgres (i think 8.4) on the new PC. I have 8.3 version on my old PC.
It is said in FAQ, that transferring database from old postgres to a newer one may cause problems.
I would like to know what is better and why: to backup database and restore it with newer postgres, or to create new database with new postgres and import several millions of hands (assuming it will take a lot of time)?
