Hi, i installed HM with success a lot of times, but on this pc i can't make it work. I have installed net framework 3.5 sp1 2 times but when i try to open HM it say "Please note that all the new versions of HM require the microsoft net framework version 3.5 SP1. Click on OK to go to the microsoft download page".

As i said i already installed that twice but it's still not working. Thanks for help.

I have windows xp service pack 3 installed.

As you already said it should work in general. Something on this installation seems to be wrong.
Firewall/ Virusscanner / Adaware / Antispyware/Tuning utilities installed?

All windows updates installed?

1) ) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

I did this, not installing properly

[03/23/10,13:54:17] Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0SP1 (x64) (CBS): [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0SP1 (x64) (CBS). MSI returned error code 1
[03/23/10,13:54:34] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0SP1 (x64) (CBS) is not installed.

What to do?

Do you have 64 Bit XP? You probably need a different installer for that OS.

Yes 64 bit. I cant find the right instalation then.

Would someone please link me to the correct .net framework installer?

Thank you.

EDIT:

I may have issues with windows being updated, but I dont know how to fix that either, tried some stuff, but did not work.

Hi,

Try this one

Download details: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for Windows Vista x64, and Windows Server 2008 x64 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=98e83614-c30a-4b75-9e05-0a9c3fbdd20d&displaylang=en)

It tells me, loosely translated:

"The update is not relevant/important to your system"

But it seems like it is an update, isnt there a full installation somewhere?

------------
The windows issue, windows made the last auto update at around october last year, I tried this (second post):

windows update error 8E5E0442 (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/itprovistaapps/thread/e2a2d814-60ad-4c5b-9507-2370cbe29f7c/)

But all it did was deleting my logfiles for updates. Auto updater does not work atm.

If your windows update is not working properly i think the best is a fresh windows installation.
