New install on windows 7. Everything worked fine this morning and again this evening, but an afternoon session didn't import at all.

The tables from that session showed up in HMarchive, but not in HEM. I've tried importing them from HMArchive, copied and moved them and tried again, I get lots of duplicate hand and errors, but no data in hem.

Also should note that the missing session was 14 tables while the other sessions were 1-6 tables

Playing around this morning, I'm noting that hands are being imported as per the import window and HUD stats are accurate. Data is not showing in reports window though(only some hands -firs hand at the table and a few others).

may be good to note that I've imported my db/settings from another comp

Couple of things you can try

1) Please install the latest version (1.10.03c): http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
2) Clear the main filter go to Filter > Clear then Filter > Use for all
3) Now try reports, hands and sessions TAB and see if the hands are showing up
4) Beside the date filter and clear filter you should see a dropdown box with All Games, Omaha, Holdem etc make sure All Games is selected.
5) If the problem persists try creating a new database FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Create / Delete Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database) and see if there was any import errors importing the hands, then check and see did the missing hands appear.

Thanks for the reply.
Current version is running
Filter is clear
all games selected

Import screen shows hands being imported correctly.
Hud is updating data accurately

Hands are still not showing up unless I am single tabling or two tabling

Will try a new DB

OK, new DB

hands show up. Does this mean I need to export hands from my old DB and manually import hands to get that data on new comp?

Yeah the old one is corrupt so youll need to export and reimport the hands

Other things to consider

If your doing a clean reinstall or moving HM to a new computer you should consider the following.

Export Your Notes
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback - Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

I exported my hands from the old computer and am attempting to import to the new computer. When I imported the hands on the new computer, 90% showed up as import errors and did not import. What do I do now?

Thanks again.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

What site are the hands from? Which OS? Have you tried importing your old \HMArchive folder? Did you get errors?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

Latest Beta is running

Programs are set to run as admin.

OS is windows 7

Hands are all from stars

Exported hands seem to import into a new database on old computer fine, which leads me to believe that it is something with my install/set up on new computer

Interesting.

Have you tried importing the \HMArchive folder of hands from the old PC on the new PC? Do those original hands give errors?

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Warning: You have XXX Hand History Files in your Auto Import Folders (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/119/Warning:+You+have+XXX+Hand+History+Files+in+your+A uto+Import+Folders)

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Have you emailed support at pokerstars and asked them to send you all your old hand histories and tournament summaries? Would you like to zip up some of those exported/problem hands for us to look at? Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com

I imported my hands from this year so far from the HMarchive file - about 86k hands. It had about 3k hands of errors.

I'm going to try uninstalling/reinstalling postgres and starting over. If that doesn't work I'll try sending you some to see what you come up with.

Did a unistall/reinstall of postgres & hem and reimported hands from a couple of different sources(exported hands, HMarchive, and starsHH file) Looks like less than 1% errors, which I can live with.

Thanks for the help.
