All possible mentioned in "Top performance tips" I did long ago. Including Postgre tuning, turning off indexing and other.
Added RAM in laptop. Now it has 2Gb (WinXP SP3).
When running HEM and multitabling, it was 90% RAM occupied - now 40% only.
As a result, HEM filters (and other features) became really faster.
Moved IE cache and Temp folder to 200Mb Ramdisk - no more read\write on HDD tons of files when web-browsing etc.
That is good.
Question is - how to make even better?
What can I do to effectively utilize this LOT of empty RAM?

Can you explain the '200MB RAMdisk' part of your post ? I don't know what you mean & maybe I should try it on my XP laptop

There may be things you haven't thought of here:
TweakHound - Windows XP (http://www.tweakhound.com/xp/WindowsXP.htm)
(paging file size & location for example)

& here:
Windows XP x86 (32-bit) Service Pack 3 Service Configurations by Black Viper (http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm)
(take care to write down what changes you make though)

after installation set IE cache (or Firefox) to be located there
