Hi there i have just bought the Holdem Manager software

However when i got to "download full installer" it attempts to bring up a new window im guessing to install the software (http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe) that is what it is trying to bring up.
When it trys to bring this up it just says

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I have tried this several times now and still the same problem. I used my initative and tried diffrent things such as right clicking the "download full installer" and clicking save target as, this then starting to download.
However after 20 seconds (hasnt actually started downloading at this time just attempting to) it comes up with an error message saying ... Internet Explorer cannot download Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe from rvgsoftware.fileburst.com A connection with the server could not be established.
Now i know this implies a server issue at my end however everything else is working fine i tried downloading something random and that worked fine so i am clueless.

Also as another question (when i eventually get it installed) I am not going to open my poker account untill Friday is this fine even though i have bought this software prior to making the account?
And i will be doing this on bigslickpoker which is part of IPOKER network do all ipoker websites work fine ?

Kind Regards

Kyle Thomson

Download Mozilla Firefox (since I'm not a pro on the new Internet Explorer).

Go to the same page and click the link. Click SAVE FILE (Firefox doesn't do installing). You need to have the Windows MSI installer running, and apparently, there is a problem launching that with your IE settings. Then run the Executable from wherever you save it.

OR, when IE opens, check to see if you can save file instead of directly installing. Don't click copy link, actually save the file to your computer.

PS, why not install the Trial version prior to purchase? I think its okay with Ipoker, don't know for sure.

Yep, opened IE, and when click link, window says run or save. Save file, and close Internet Explorer.

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator

net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Postgres_8.3.9-v1.0.7.exe

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Windows Firewall / Defender Problems (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/275/Windows+Firewall+%7B47%7D+Defender+Problems)

Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

1) FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Can't Connect / Failed to Start PostgreSQL (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/91/Can't+Connect+%7B47%7D+Failed+to+Start+PostgreSQL+ )
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Reinstall PostgreSQL Preserving Old Database (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/71/Reinstall+PostgreSQL+Preserving+Old+Database)
3) Still Can't Connect to PosgreSQL? Try This! - Holdem Manager Forums (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8261)

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely.
